My photo art is based on a special technique that catches the essence of an environment by combining many overlayed scenes. I typically use 8-12 images taken with a 180-degree fish-eye lens centred on the horizon. The originally circular images are stretched to square, the result is cropped, and local contrasts are enhanced to bring out beautiful elements of reality that normally do not catch our attention. I aim to create surreal or painting-like images that reveal the beauty of a place and recreate the feelings that the place evoked.
