October 2022, Honduras. Hurricane Julia threatens the Central American region. After the high winds and strong rain, fields, roads, and houses lie submerged under floodwaters. On the road to Yojoa Lake, crossing a part of the Honduran countryside rarely seen by travelers, I witnessed and documented this scene. I had a poignant conversation with a local who was on his way to help his family and blaming global warming. This situation is all too familiar; farmers are tragically accustomed to it. They lose everything. Now begins the task of rebuilding, once again.
