As a travelling photographer, I am very interested in capturing photos of what I call Marred Landscapes or Leftover Landscapes.
We leave objects behind in the landscape and act as if it didn't really matter and nothing destructive ever happened. Yet despite the destructive influence on a landscape that should be pristine, the combination of light, landscape and our leftovers sometimes makes for images of eerie beauty. It is a theme I am constantly working on. The images of this particular series are shot in Chile, Sweden, Norway, Alaska, Canada, Serbia, France, Estonia and Ukraine.
