Since I was a child, I have loved looking at the sea in winter, stormy and restless. That restlessness that has always accompanied me, together with that sea that, despite the distance from my home, is always with me. With this self-portrait I wanted to represent and give the right importance to one of the views that I love to observe most and entrust my thoughts, whenever I can.
I am Francesco Sanna, a professor in secondary school, a biologist, a drummer. My artistic practice unfolds through both digital and analog photography, often incorporating manual alterations to prints. I have a predominantly conceptual style and express myself through portraiture and fine art photography.
Music, one of my main sources of inspiration, converges with my passion for human behavior stemming from my studies, forming the foundation of my visual explorations.Recurring themes in my work revolve around emotions, particularly those more "turbulent," and the passage of time.
