The evening sun lit up the shaggy coat of the Highland cattle in a warm, red glow, like something from a painting.
Scottish Highland cattle are among the oldest cattle breeds in the world. They have been kept in the rugged Highlands since as early as the 6th century. Their long, weather-resistant coats, impressive horns, and calm nature make them perfectly suited to harsh mountain landscapes. Despite their wild appearance, they are known for their gentle temperament—a quality this young animal displayed beautifully.
My photographic work explores the beauty of transition and transformation – from quiet landscapes and reflections to the fragile vanitas of fading flowers, from hidden worlds in the small and overlooked to the faces of wildlife. Many of these series have been recognized at international photography awards, including PX3 Paris, IPA, FAPA, Chromatic and ND Awards.
