The theme of this photograph is the coexistence of late autumn's tranquility and beauty.It captures an autumnal scene at Konuma pond on Mount Akagi in Japan, my hometown.The landscape is rich with the colors of white birch trees and autumn foliage,and the reflection of the white birch trees on the water's surface even resembles lightning.From a young age,I used to go hiking here.Konuma was once also called "Otome-ko"(Maiden Lake),named for its quiet and mystical atmosphere that evokes the image of a modest maiden.I hope this conveys the ambiance and picturesque beauty of my local Mount Akagi.
