The theme of this photo is the harshness and sculptural beauty of nature. Mount Akagi in Gunma Prefecture, Japan, where I was born. This is a hiking trail covered in snow in winter. I walked through the snow in the extreme cold and was able to see this scenery. The snow and wind on the hiking trail look like waves of snow rushing in, and the road continuing into the distance. I was captivated by this scenery and took a picture. I hope that the beauty of the scenery in the extreme cold will be conveyed to those who look at this photo.
