Draumajökull

Draumajökull, meaning Glacier of Dreams in Icelandic, is a series capturing the mystic beauty of Icelandic glaciers.
Yet this beauty is fragile. Due to global warming, the glacier now retreats by 100 to 300 meters each year. The lagoon expands as icebergs break off and melt, accelerated by rising temperatures and disrupted seasonal cycles. Jökulsárlón, once a narrow glacial outlet, is becoming a vast symbol of loss.
This series is also a quiet alarm—reflecting a reality unfolding around the world. A reminder that climate change is not distant or abstract, but visible here, in real time.
