I was heading towards the Little Colorado river one summer evening for some sunset photographs of the Little Colorado river's "Grand Falls". As I approached the summer monsoons were circling around the area. As I got closer to the falls this particularly active cell lined up with the waterfall and the clouds behind me to the west were cutting off the sunset at the horizon which created a very brief opportunity for a slight golden hour glow on the river. I had no tripod so I braced myself against my truck and waited for the lightning to strike again. I did not have to wait long to get my shot.
