I have a secret garden and in it I grow many wonderful things. You have to look through a tangle of old shrubs to see but it is a truly beautiful place full of tranquility, fragrance and colour. This Lady of Shallot Rose is one of my favourites and it carries an aroma that is redolent of times past where all roses had exquisite fragrance. It is a joy to photograph and you could say it is my muse. I chose to represent it in Black and White to show the incredible detail in the petals without the distraction of colour.
