The series is captured on location at landscapes surrounding extractive industries. The high concentrations of minerals and acidity buildup from these industries create otherworldly visual forms and chemical elements, which I highlight in my work. In the series, I ponder future archeological finds and mythologies about our lost civilization. A key aspect of my practice is capturing the sublime from a female perspective. I stage self-portraits within these environments, wrapped in self-designed fabric costumes. Witnessing and documenting these sites helps me process the pleonexia of our era.
