I have been strongly fascinated from old art objects before 19 century. The artists of those time needed unbelievably long time to create them. They had nothing but their hands and absolute technique. Nowadays we live in high-tech world and are definitely spoiled from technical developments. I take photographs of old art objects closing up to transfor old traditional techniques into our high-tech life, and I have chosen to use a digital camera to express the contrast between old techniques and new techniques. All images are the floor closing up in Florence Cathedral.
I am a Japanese fine art photographer who was born and grow up in Tokyo, currently based in Berlin. My photography shows the difference between what the human eye sees and what the camera's mechanical eye captures.
My works have been exhibited in Tokyo, Sydney, Berlin, Athnes and London.
