These photographs were taken in March 2025, during my first spring in New York, just as a long and turbulent winter had come to an end. At that time, I often felt restless and alone, torn between perfectionism and chaos. In my mind, I began to construct two versions of myself—figures that perhaps had always existed within me. As an observer, I turned my gaze inward: I am my own enemy, and also my closest companion. They confront each other, yet lean on each other for warmth.
In this gentle, lingering spring rain, as all things come back to life, so do I.
