Using the themes of loneliness and addiction as examples, the series “Fading” refers to various circumstances that can cause a life to fade, such as depression, physical ailments, unemployment or hopelessness. Each of these circumstances can be both a trigger and a possible consequence, making it difficult to escape this spiral that pulls you deeper and deeper. This process often takes place beneath the surface for a long time, so that the outside world is barely able to take notice of it, or only much too late.

I started my photographic career in the early 1990s as an autodidact in travel photography. In 2007, I started with nude photography. In 2011, I took the first step towards part-time self-employment. Since 2025, I am full-time freelance visual media artist and curator.

In my freelance photographic work, I concentrate on the areas of model and travel photography. I am also the artistic director of the photo festivals ‘Fotopark Forchheim’ and ‘Pirmasenser Fototage’ as well as a photo trainer. My free works can be seen in exhibitions at home and abroad.
