Guns in America reflects Jeff Corwin’s response to America’s ongoing gun violence crisis. The series began after Corwin discovered vintage firearms among his late father's possessions and, following the Sandy Hook shooting, chose to confront their symbolism through photography. Using harsh lighting, saturated colors, and constructed sets, Corwin transforms weapons into bold cultural statements, exposing the absence of sane policy and the daily reality of violence in the United States.
