'Confluence’ is my third photobook in an 'unanticipated trilogy' of France-based books. The book explores my 17-year archive of images from the Creuse. It explores this region in central France using 34 diptychs to create “a cumulative sense of place”.

'23, La Creuse' 2016 - paperback. 23 photos of '23' from 23 (the departmental code for the Creuse department.
'Searching for your Shadow' 2021 - hardback. An exploration of my mother's home district, the 15th arrondissement in Paris. (Winner of PX3 Bronze Award 2021 for Book/Monograph).

Chris Rydlewski has lived and worked in Bristol (UK) as a freelance photographer and photography lecturer.
Recently retired Chris is now concentrating on personal projects, mainly based in France, which he has visited regularly for many years.
'Confluence’ is his third France-based photobook, which mines his 17-year archive of images from the Creuse. It explores this region in central France using 34 diptychs to create “a cumulative sense of place”.
Chris also exhibits his work regularly, both in the UK and France.
