Renewal is a book I photographed and wrote over the past six years in a garden we created in a small village in northern Portugal. As a nature photographer, photographing in our garden offered an intimate experience, revealing an entire universe within just 600 m². As I planted, I became attuned to the interplay between plants and light. I observed their beauty, the shifting hues and textures brought by the changing light of day and season, and the vibrant garden life. This book is an invitation to pause, linger on the small details, appreciate the beauty of nature and simply observe.
