They say you should never stop looking for magic, even when you’re all grown-up. For me, that’s what street photography is all about – trying to find a little magic in the mundane.

With this project I set out to find Narnia or at least the traces of it in Totnes the town that the locals say is twinned with Narnia.

Why Narnia? Well, in the early 2000’s a sign outside of Totnes read: Totnes, Twinned with Narnia. It summed up a long standing cultural feeling within the town.

What I found might just be a little magic - My first clue to this magic? Was in The shady garden with Mr.Tumnus.

My name is Paul Carruthers - I am called swimstones after a swim I do to splat cove from North Sands in Salcombe.

I collect a small pebble from the beach and swim back and put a number on the pebble I collected just to remember how many times I have made the enjoyable swim of about two miles.

I have a jar full of pebbles on my desk.

I have managed to win a few awards for my adventures with a camera most notably.
