On the early morning of January 5, the Central Coast of California got pounded by high tides and huge swells. The result was devastating damage to houses, businesses and infrastructure along the coast. Eric Stark, who owns his "dream home" that sits between Beach Drive and Rio Del Mar beach in Aptos clears out all of his belongings. The storm had completely knocked out is front wall of his house and completely flooded the first floor of his house that he has owned since 2018.
