Being in between is an innermost human condition. A workplace can become a playground. Hope of hard labor can still live between a draught and an empty sky. Areas where real production runs might experience the result by far from final product. Being alien to their own production also exist in between urbanism and marginal rural civilization. One is lucky enough to find a moment of joy among underdeveloped surroundings of a marginalized community.

Tharaka Bibulewitharana is a Sri Lankan contemporary photographer working across fine-art nudes, documentary stories, landscapes, and urban minimalism. His images focus on emotion, tension, and the quiet narratives found in ordinary spaces. Recognized with multiple international awards, Tharaka’s work emphasizes intention, subtle composition, and open-ended storytelling that invites viewers to interpret and engage.
