Watercolor Sky

This photo has very little editing done to it--the only editing I did was increasing the Vibrance to slightly enhance the colors in the photo.

To the naked eye, the Northern Lights actually look grey. (At least, that's how they looked to me when I saw these Northern Lights in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.)

It's crazy to see all the colors the camera could pick up that my eye could not.

Even just seeing this in-person in grey was an incredible phenomenon to witness. I cannot put it into words how astonishing it was to experience this. I hope everyone gets the opportunity at least once.

Kirsti Wall de Cordero is a fine art photographer. Her work has been featured in galleries internationally and has earned recognitions by the Tokyo International Foto Awards and PX3 Prix de la Photographie, Paris. Additionally, her work was awarded by the International Photography Awards.

She uses photography as both a hobby and an outlet to understand the world around her. Some of her earliest memories include viewing her surroundings through a disposable film camera; however, after a traumatic brain injury, photography became a lifejacket for her to remember the things her mind could not.
