Somaliland, the self declared independent state in Somalia, is suffering from the drought enforced by climate change. Animals are dying, children become weak and need to be rushed to hospitals where they are saved. Others don't reach the hospitals and die. Due to climate change the droughts in the Horn of Africa become more frequent. The year 2022 sees the harshest drought since decades. The food prices rise and the imports recede due to the conflict in Ukraine. The UN so far only received 4 percent of the funding required to tackle the crisis which will become a severe famine if not addressed
