In this serie i wanted to work around the definition of... a''seed''... it's the main survival organ in seed plants and a necessity for the cyclus of reproduction…you can see them as small embryos enclosed in a shell covering. They are the product of the matured mother plant , and the development often starts in the fruit itself...In nature, they get dispersed by the plant itself, wind, water or animals...
With the use of optical glass, I wanted to put the focus on a few of them to grab the viewer's attention.
Wesley Dombrecht is a Belgium-based Dutch commercial and artistic food photographer, born in 1979,he spent his childhood in the Flanders and grew up in a family off artistic people.His interest in photography and art began at young age beside his passion for cooking and food, he followed this passion and in 2012 started up his own studio (FoodShot) and also took the leap towards the artistic side of food photography.
In his personal work he is looking at food in a different way, trying to capture it more aesthetic.
