Outside II

Outside II presents works in series created during the period 2015 - 2020. Forty-eight plates featuring images from Ireland to India. Outside II, is a gallery in itself with a collection of images that encapsulate the essence of Magee’s internationally renowned landscape works. The book is reproduced with meticulous attention to detail, from the print production to the hand crafted binding and choice of papers used throughout. Square in format, exquisitely printed, bound in hand made Japanese paper, featuring gold and translucent foiling. Published by Concentric Editions, 500 copies worldwide.

David Magee (b.1963) is an Irish Artist. He has been making photographs outside, Working primarily before dawn and in the darker hours. With an alluringly distinctive style offering the viewer a point in time to reflect and be drawn into a world of quietude, contemplation and tranquility­.

Working predominantly in series, Magee’s work explores thresholds - between land and sea, light and shadow, presence and absence - inviting quiet, contemplative
engagement.
