The Long Road Home

The view past Forrest Gump Point, a stretch of highway in the desert of southern Utah made famous by the running scene in the iconic Tom Hanks film. This stretch of road is located near Monument Valley on the Utah - Arizona state border in the southwestern United States. The photograph was taken on large format black and white film on a 4x5 analog camera. Scanning captured the full frame of the original negative to preserve the dramatic black border of the film.
