Malao is a sweet offering for Tian Gong(the God of Heaven)in the traditional Taiwanese New Year festival. Worshiping Ma Lao has the meaning of longevity. The traditional Malao wrapped in three kinds of flavor: rice, peanut, or sesame. The modern Taiwan food industry has pushed the creativity of sweets to its limit.
