I frequently take pictures of female models with body types that aren’t normally featured in photography. I often frame these models in a Fine Art context (e.g. portraying them as sculptures in a museum, as paintings, or geographical terrain) in an effort to hinder the viewer from making a kneejerk sexual value judgment. I encourage the viewer to take an aesthetic interest in the geometry and textures that make the models’ bodies unique, moving beyond society-dictated notions of attractiveness.
