2020 A Year in Vision, at it's heart is a visual close-up study of ‘being human’. It is an anthology of portraiture and personal narratives, inviting critical consideration of both. The work has several parts, and the whole is something besides the parts. Each portrait is of a member of our community, some well known, others not. The visual juxtaposition consciously orchestrated to delight in diversity and contrasts. The narratives offer a unique and candid depiction of existence and revelation, and together evidence of a commonality of reflection and aspiration during an unprecedented time.
