"Without" is a series of pictures taken in Venice in the last days of the lockdown in spring 2020. It gives an unusual view at the most famous places of Venice. Venice without habitants. Venice without tourists. Venice without passing boats. Venice without.....
Normally I visit Venice a few times every year and since my childhood I have never seen "La Serenissima" like this. Reduced to the essential and nothing to prevent the view. To give it an extra surreal view, I created a sky that makes the city look, like it was captured in a studio with a fake background
I started working as a photographer in the late 80ies. After learning a lot of skills in a photostudio in Graz, I started as a self-empoyed photographer in 1995. Since then I´m mostly working as an architectural-, hotel- and imagephotographer. From the beginning of my career I had a strong relation to fineart- and landscapephotography. After winning a few international awards, I created my own brand "Fotoreiserei" for phototravels and workshops, where I teach interested photographers seeing and creating new visions.
