Electric Carnival

Living in NYC has definitely helped me gain a new perspective on beauty & fashion and has become a part of my style.

This editorial - Electric Carnival published in Dreamingless magazine for the October 2020 issue, is all about neon lights inspired by major influences and experiences in my personal life. Since the pandemic got us all working from home, exploring the empty streets of New York has been nothing but interesting. The empty neon lit streets in a city like NYC could no longer go unnoticed and so I started exploring. This experience led to the birth of this photo series.

Beauty and fashion are what define Rutvik Katuri and his photography. With roots in India and the US, Rutvik graduated from the NYFA in early 2017.

Seeking inspiration from the multicultural cities he's grown up in, his work is a symphony of color and the human form's intricacy. Currently based out of New York, his work has been featured in prominent magazines. Moreover, his work was also been featured and showcased on multiple Time Square billboards.

The one mantra he always lives by is "get inspired, stay inspired, and inspire others”.
