Of the Grassland with No Boundaries which No Fire Can Burn Down

As both photographer and model, I am at once the performer and observer of my own circumstance.
The book tells the story of a young woman navigating the complications of womanhood and mental disorder against the background of sociopolitical violence. Among the self portraits, I inserted documentary and still life images in which the protagonist visits societal oppression through symbols in her own life, ancient relics, modern protests, WWII sites, memorials, and more. She hopes through this she can explain and understand her own situation, but finds that this obsessive quest has no end.
