Pachamama, Mama Pacha - one of the major female deities in the peruvian mythology of Quechua, the goddess of the earth, fertility and the progenitor of humanity. People often donated to Pachamama balls of chewed coca and sprinkle them with a thin stream of corn beer or wine. The land where the gifts of Pachamama are put is considered sacred. In 2009, the worship of Pachamama received state support under the new constitution.
