45 seconds of me

This project of self-portrait which is realised using the wet plate collodion technique with an exposure of abaut 45 seconds , hense the name of the work.
These portraits lay bare my state of mind.
This photography is a way to release the weight of life’s emotions.
The wet plate collodion tecnique, thanks to its process, allows me to express some emotions and sentiments which other tecnique do not.
I realised that when the first images were born, they were not only interesting to me, but they drew strong emotion reactions from the viewers.

My name is Sergio Bruno and I was born in 1974.
My true passion is people. I have always been fascinated by our passage on this world – the difficulties and joys of life.
With photography I have the opportunity to freeze an instant or express my vision of those aspects of human existence which I find marvellous.
In 2009, after 15 years of a soulless job, I dropped everything to dedicate myself to professional photography. I studied live performance photography with Silvia Lelli at IED Milan.
In 2012 I received the QIP and QEP.
In 2016 I specialised in antique photography, wet plate collodion.
