Dance meets photography,a dialogue made of words,gestures and movements that merge together.
My research doesn't aim at the exaltation of the technique and physical efforts that dance requires,or to create dramatic and perfect pictures.I tryed to keep it as simple as possible with black and white,one light and my cheapest camera, because I aim to highlight through the harmony of bodies and the expression of faces, what dancers carry in their soul, each one of them with their own personality,weakness,strength and ceative flair.
This is my tribute and vision of dance.
I was born in Castellammare di Stabia,Italy on oct. 7th 1979
My started to photograph at the age of 25, to shoot my first daughter between school plays and Sunday walks.
I soon fell in love with photography even if my first result were definetly not masterpieces.I started to study by myself and occasionally working with some wedding photographer, untill I casually went to shoot a dance show with a friend of mine.
From that moment someting has changed,I started to shoot dance as much as possible to improve myself and to become a good dance photographer.
