Patterns in nature fascinate me, so I am particularly drawn to the patterns formed by the glacial meltwater in the south of Iceland. The meltwater makes its way to the ocean over large lava sand fields such that when viewed from the air, look like large abstract paintings. I returned to these ever changing "river deltas" several times over the course of a few years, always by helicopter, in order to document the beautiful patterns formed by the interplay of water, sand, rock and silt.
