I work in the camera department on film productions. We were shooting on a farm near Schwerin in northern Germany, and during lunch break I went to look for something interesting to photograph. At some point I found this group of chicken hanging out on the door of their shelter, and I was lucky enough to capture their quite human expressions and the beautiful light hitting especially the rooster. The picture reminds me a bit of a painting by Caravaggio, or even Rembrandt. But maybe that's aiming too high...
