US-Mexico Border
A "Dreamer" woman is married through the wall that separates El Paso TX and Ciudad Juarez, this is a legal marriage done by an American Judge, her husband was deported back to Mexico. This story is one of the many stories photographed during the Hugs Not Walls event. This event reunites separated families that have been apart for many years. People travel from all over the United States and Mexico to be able to hug their loved ones for 3 Minutes.

Monica Lozano is a Mexican-American photographer born in El Paso Texas and raised across the border in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. In 2009 she finished a Masters Degree in Photography in Madrid Spain and in 2011 she won in Italy the Presidential scholarship for the Photo Global Residency at the School of Visual Arts in New York. Lozano's elegant and socially charged portraits have been exhibited in 13 countries. Currently Lozano is living in the border of Mexico and USA, teaching young students in different Universities about photography and art as a way to transcend borders.
