The BLACK SERIES features adopted black shelter dogs.

Black dogs are the least likely to be adopted if they find themselves at an animal shelter for reasons including - not photographing well, being perceived as looking more aggressive and not being interesting to look at.

My aim with this series is to challenge these misconceptions by creating personality filled portraits that show black rescue dogs as individuals with unique characters that are not only entertaining, but aesthetically beautiful.

I'm a professional British photographer working internationally from my base in Johannesburg, South Africa. I specialise in capturing portraits of people and animals, my favourite photographic subject is a dog.

I've been working as a professional photographer for over a decade and I love to capture character portraits of my clients.
