‘Long. Live.Lo. Lee. Ta.’, inspired by infamous Vladimir Nabokov’s novel Lolita.
Our society is still prone to sexualise femininity - being womanly and feminine is associated with a sexy appearance and behaviour. Anna’s work is aiming to show the characters that are not constructed and dictated by the media and male gaze.Lolita is a novel that despite being represented in the cinematography multiple times, still portrays Lolita as a over-sexualised little girl who’s only role is to support the development of the male protagonist. Anna shows the characters from the prism of modern world.
