Traditional Rice Processing In Bangladesh

In Bangladesh the rice mill workers start their day at the break of dawn. While a group of worker boiled the paddy rice and others carry and spread on the floor of out side the rice mill to dry under the sun. By continue raking it out and then sweeping it back they make sure that dry process running properly. This is traditional methods of rice processing . Children live in the rice mill with their parents who work and earns live hood there. While parents working the elder one is taking care his younger sibling. Some of them play on the field during rice process. Some of them help their parents during work. There are 300 boiler rice mills in Ashuganj and about 60 in Bhairab and nearly 12000 female work in those rice mill.

Award-winning photographer Md. Tanveer Hassan Rohan was born and raised in Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh. Currently He Lives In New York, USA. He is a passionate and dedicated photographer with nearly 12 years of experience. As a photographer, his essential aim is to capture the moments of life and give them significance by making them static in time. He loves to travel and be in different places, meet new people, and enjoy the experience that photography offers, which is to capture Earth’s beautiful and awe-inspiring moments.

Awards He has successfully finished his Photojournalism degree from New York Institute Of Photography . He has taken part in many National and International Photography contest and till now he has won many national and more than 700 international photography awards. He is the first Bangladeshi Photographer to win back-to-back National Geographic Travel Photographer of the Year Contests ( 2017 & 2018). He was also awarded Jury’s choice award in the LensCulture-Magnum Photography Awards in 2017, 1st Prize in Street and Wild Life categories from Toshiba ExceLENS Awards in 2019,Dubai. He also earned 1st prize in the Sports Category from Balkan Photo Awards in 2016.

Md. Tanveer Hassan Rohan’s photographs have been exhibited in more than 45 countries and published in many international magazines and newspapers. He has been selected as a best Authors Six times in the FIAP patronage Photography Contest in Greece, France, Bangladesh, the Czech Republic & USA.
