The project is a photobook titled Wild Oregano on the subject of herbal medicine in
Poland. It resulted from my travels in Poland and contains information about medicinal
plants and above all, the stories of people who work with herbs. It is also a story about
the increasing need for a return to nature. The project was implemented from December 2015
to May 2017 in Poland. The aim was to record in photography the present state of herbal
medicine in Poland and related issues – herbalists, making herbal medicines, growing and
harvesting medicinal plants. I wanted to save for posterity the people involved in natural
medicine and document that which will soon disappear.
