Abstract concrete

  • Prize
    Gold in Advertising/Architecture
  • Photographer
    Jose Roberto Bassul

"Abstract concrete" is an homage to Oscar Niemeyer, one of the most
important architects in the world, deceased in 2012.
Formed only by curves and minimalist lines, almost abstract, the images
are articulated by two references: the concretist movement in Brazilian
art, contemporary of Brasilia’s construction, and the creative process of
the architect, who used to synthesize his ideas with a few lines on a sheet
of paper.

Jose Roberto Bassul is an architect and photographer. Born in Rio de Janeiro, he lives in Brasilia, Brazil. His favorite subjects are architecture, urbanism and contemporary aspects of urban life.
Selected and awarded in important competitions, he acts as an authoral photographer. His works have been exhibited in art galleries and are held in private and public collections.
