Imaginary friend or real best friend?
Growing up, penguins were always my favourite animal.
Comical, affable and childlike, they would make for an ideal
friend.
The idea of the pairing of child and penguin has always been in
my imagination; in this series of photographs I finally decided to
make it a reality.
It is for the viewer to decide if the relationship is real or the
penguin is the longed-for imaginary friend that so many
children create in their minds.
