Frontline at night in Menajeer village on the outskirt of Sari Kani,
Syria. It's a frontline, an outpost, where Kurds are fighting against
the militants of the Islamic State of Syria and Iraq (ISIS).
This outpost like many others has a very strict controls during the
night as it is one of the first frontline with the the Islamic State of
Syria and Iraq (ISIS). Kurds fighters check during all night the way
where Islamic State of Syria and Iraq (ISIS) militants could attempt
an attack.

Born in Italy in 1979. After graduating with a master’s degree in photojournalism in Rome in 2010, he started to work as a freelance photographer focusing attention to documentary photography.
His photographs has been published in national and international publications, including Stern, Le Monde, Die Zeit, The Guardian, Days Japan, Internazionale, La Repubblica, Terra Mater.
Recently he has worked in Democratic Republic of Congo, Israel and Palestinian Territories, Syria, Central African Republic, Iraq, Burma.
