Franco Ferro was born in Catania (Sicily) in 1964, as a photographer, he specialised both in artistic and portraits photography. His work has been published in a number of well-known magazines in this sector. He has taken part in gallery shows and competitions, receiving both prizes and international recognitions. In 1996, he represented FIAF at the FIAP World Biennal in Turkey winning the title of A.F.I. (artist of Italian photography). In 2000 he did a personal exhibition titled "Sensazioni Dinamiche" at the Galleria Dante in Palermo. In January 2001 his work titled "PASSI (Steps)" was published by the Italian magazine "Gente di Fotografia" and in the same year the editors of "Gente di Fotografia", published the photobook "PASSI". In 2001 Franco Ferro was included in the archive "Young Italian Authors" at the Italian Photography Foundation in Turin. In April 2001 the editor Fausto Raschiatore published on the magazine "Il Fotoamatore" Franco Ferro's work "PASSI", always in the same year he participated at the international "ARTEXPO" in Bari. In 2006 and 2007 Franco Ferro was awarded with the Golden Medal in Portrait Category at the Trierenberg Super Circuit (Austria).
