This project is a stark proof that a photographer’s art does not
end at his lens.
Like a painter’s episode of creative madness, Fares Jammal and
Wissam Moubarak took to the darkroom and chose to spill the
developer onto photo-sensitive paper with an impulsive
randomness, to accentuate the idea that a picture – no matter how
faithful to the subject – can never reflect the entire truth.
The result - Insights into Nature - was a poetic combination of
photography and painting, a figurative portrayal of trees reeking
with mystery and imagination.
