I am inspired by the rhythmic, musical interplay of juxtaposed triangles, diagonals and
parallel lines. For the series CityShapes, I looked for the geometrics of provocative
urban scenes, ever mindful of the important interaction between light, reflection, texture
and color.
A graduate of Syracuse University, Judith was a Boston Globe arts reporter for more than a decade. She began each new assignment by answering the question, “What’s the angle?”
As a fine art photographer, she answers that same question far more literally. The “angle” is the way she positions herself to capture the geometrics of a provocative urban scene and its abstract underpinnings.
She is inspired by the rhythmic, musical interplay of juxtaposed triangles, diagonals and parallel lines, keenly aware of the interaction between light, reflections, texture and color.
Her award-winning photographs have been juried into international, national and regional exhibits.
