Photographs of Fang-Yi Sheu, the former principal dancer of the Martha Graham Dance Company, shot on black and white film. Returning to Taipei with a team of talented dancers, the internationally recognized artist evoked incessant waves of energy and emotions. Documenting the rehearsal of her sold-out homecoming performance entitled Timeless, this photo series captured her journey of exploring feelings, strength and coordination of body with the use of both freeze frame and moving shots. The arrangement of visual elements and empty space adds shading around a philosophical atmosphere in which dancers relate themselves to the stage, throw out inner voices and dedicate to pursuing innovation.
