The Australian coast had many piers and jettys in the past, sadly most of these have been
destroyed over the years by storms and once they are damaged most councils will pull them
down for public saftey. Fortuantly on Philip Island in Australia's south there are many of
these old jettys still standing, weathering, and falling into decay. They make for some
beautiful graphic images.
