Worker under Brussels

Worker digging inside the Schuman-Josaphat Rail tunnel in Brussels. This is currently one of the biggest mobility projects in Brussels.

Jerome Hubert was born in 1983 in Tunis.
While studying communication & media analysis at the University of Louvain, he developped a lot of interest in the photographic medium and its narrative power. With some early black and white films and zero technical knowledge, he found a passion while dreaming before the works of Henri Cartier-Bresson, Sebastiao Salgado and Eugene Smith.
He studied at the School of Photography of the City of Brussels and became a photographer in 2011.

By placing the human encounter in the center of his work, he favors a documentary and long-term approach. The camera is a way for him to testify through an unusual look.
